How to Use GitMind
Creating a folder - Go to My mindmap”, right click on an empty area and select New folder”. After creating a new folder, you can rename, copy, move and delete according to your need.
Creating a mind map - Click New” or right-click on an empty area to create a blank mind map.
Using shortcuts - You can use shortcut keys in Node Operation”, Adjust Interface” and Edit” sections. You can quickly learn how to use hotkeys by clicking the question mark icon at the bottom right.
Adding and deleting nodes - You can add nodes in 3 ways. First; First select a node, then press Tab” to place the child node, press Enter to add a sibling node and press Shift + Tab to add the parent node. Latter; Select a node and then click the icons at the top of the navigation bar to add a node. Third; Switch to outline mode and press Enter to add a node or Tab to add a child node. To delete the node, select the node and then press the Delete” key. You can also do this by right-clicking the node and selecting Delete.
Add a line: To connect two nodes, select a node and click Relation line” from the left toolbar. After selecting the other node, the line will appear. You can drag the yellow bars to adjust its position, click the X to delete it.
Changing the theme: After creating a new blank map, the default theme will be assigned. To change the theme, click the Theme” icon on the left toolbar. You can access more options by clicking More”. If you dont like the themes, you can create your own.
Node spacing, background color, line, border, shape, etc. from the Style section on the left toolbar. you can customize.
Layout change - Go to the new blank map, click Layout” on the left toolbar. Choose according to your need (mind map, logic diagram, tree diagram, organ diagram, fishbone).
Add attachments - After selecting the node, you can see options to add or remove hyperlinks, images, and comments. You can drag and drop to adjust the size of the picture.
Outline mode - You can edit, export and view the entire map in Outline mode.
- Edit: Press Enter to add a node, Tab to add a child node.
- Export as Word document: Click the W” icon to export the outline to the Word document.
- Move the node up/down: Drag and drop the bullets with your mouse under the outline mode.
- Collaboration: GitMind gives you the ability to create a mind map with your team. You can collaborate with others by clicking Invite collaborators” in the top toolbar. All comments and edits are synced.
Saving - Mind maps you create are automatically saved in the cloud. If your internet connection is not good, you can save manually by clicking Save” from the top toolbar.
Editing history - To restore the past version of your map, right click and select History Version. Enter the map name and then select a version to preview and restore.
Sharing - Click the Share” button in the upper right corner to share your mind maps. In the new pop-up window select Copy link” then Facebook, Twitter, Telegram. You can set a password and a time range for the shared map. Additionally, you can set permissions.
