DEATHLOOP is a 2021 action adventure game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The FPS game, which was released exclusively on the Windows PC and PlayStation 5 platform on September 14, combines the elements of both the Dishonored series and Prey.

DEATHLOOP is the next generation first-person shooter from Arkane Lyon, the award-winning studio behind Dishonored. In DEATHLOOP, two rival assassins are stuck in a mysterious time loop on the island of Blackreef and are doomed to repeat the same day forever.

Your only chance to escape as Colt is to end the cycle by killing eight key targets before the day is done. You learn something from each cycle. Try new paths, gather knowledge, find new weapons and abilities. Do whatever it takes to break the cycle.

Every new cycle is an opportunity to change things up. Use the knowledge you gain from each attempt to change your playstyle, sneak through levels or dive into battle with weapons. With each cycle you will discover new secrets, gather information about the island of Blackreef as well as your objectives, and expand your arsenal. Youll use vehicles armed with an array of otherworldly abilities and brutal weapons for destruction. Cleverly customize your gear to survive in deadly hunter and hunting game.

Are you a hero or a villain? You will experience the main story of DEATHLOOP as Colt, hunting targets on Blackreef island to break the cycle and gain your freedom. Meanwhile, you will be hunted by your rival Julianna, who can be controlled by another player. The multiplayer experience is optional, and you can choose to have Julianna controlled by AI in your fight.

Blackreef Island is paradise or prison. Arkane is famous for spectacular artistic worlds with multiple paths and evolving gameplay. DEATHLOOP offers a stunning, retro-future, 60s-inspired setting that feels like a character in itself. While Blackreef is a wonderland, for Colt his prison is a world ruled by decadence where death means nothing, and they party forever as criminals hold him captive.

Will DEATHLOOP Coming to PS4?

DEATHLOOP will first be playable on PlayStation 5 and PC only. It has been confirmed by the games maker that the action shooter will come to Xbox consoles in 2022, but there is currently no information that it will come to PS4 (PlayStation 4). Deathloop is a game designed for new generation game consoles and high-end gaming computers. However, that doesnt mean the game wont come to PS4.

Is DEATHLOOP Multiplayer Only?

The main purpose of Deathloop is to get the main character of the game, Colt, out of the time loop he is stuck in. The only way to achieve this seems to be to kill the eight visionaries that appear in the game settings. However, in order to do this, players often have to survive against Julianna, who is controlled by another player via online multiplayer. As soon as you start playing Deathloop, you get the option to play in single player mode, online mode and friends only mode.

For the online mode in Deathloop, Julianna players can invade your game whether you know them or not. This is similar to online matchmaking in other multiplayer games except its only 1 vs 1. In case you cant find another player, Deathloop automatically AIs Julianna, so you dont have to worry about not being able to play. For the Friends Only Mode, the only players that can invade are the players on your friend list. This option is best for anyone who wants to play with people they know, not strangers. Anyone who wants to play as Julianna in multiplayer has to get past a certain point in the challenge. Doing so unlocks this option.
