The Sinking City 2, developed and published by Frogwares, is a horror and survival game. Like the previous production, it is based on Lovecraft themes. Set in the 1920s, the game takes place in the spooky city of Arkham, full of supernatural events and monsters.

The Sinking City 2 transitions from the detective adventure elements of its predecessor to a more distinctly horror-focused structure. It focuses more on combat and exploration. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, this game promises advanced graphics and an immersive atmosphere.

Players can continue to do detective work, but this feature is now optional. This offers more flexibility in how the game can be played. It has become a much better option for players who embrace different gameplay styles.

Frogwares launched a Kickstarter campaign to support development of the game. Difficulties and uncertainties due to the ongoing war in Ukraine are cited as reasons to seek additional financing. This approach aims to secure the development of the game and add features that will enrich the player experience.

It is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.
